Save Password
A website that I visit often used to save my username and password automatically. The domain name for the website changed and now the login screen no longer saves my password information.
After I enter my username and password, it never prompts me to save it. I have both the Auto Complete fields checked for 'User names and passwords on forms' and 'Prompt me to save passwords'. How do I get my username and password to save again? ~ Mark |

Re: Save Password
Ok,
Make sure that the Prompt me to save passwords check box is also selected. Then 1. Go to Start -> run 2. Type in Services.msc and hit enter 3. A window will open 4. Locate, in the name list, "Protected Storage" Have a look at it's status. If it's running, it will say "started". If it does, right click on it, stop it, then restart it it again. If it isn't running, start it. Do all that, then close the window, a restart may be required (if you are prompted). That should do the trick. Also, the website you are visiting may have disabled this feature, so much can't be done there. Also, Microsoft has a fix, if the above doesn't work, try it. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=885180 '
