IE7 is not displaying website icons

I'm not sure how this happens, but for some reason IE7 is not displaying the website icons that should appear next to the url, all I am getting is the general windows icon:

next to the websites name. No custom website icons are displayed next to the url, next to the websites in my favorites or in the tabs on the IE toolbar.

I've been searching around for a solution, but I can't seen to find one. Thanks for any help

Download a new version of IE. uninstall your version now, restart your computer, then install the new copy.
