Everything but IE7
hi, this is my first post =D, the thing is, im helping this person with his computer, and the problem he has is that everything (limewire, ares, MSN Messenger, and another browser (he didnt said which one)) is working, but IE (7) shows as if no connection was present, already checked proxy configuration, and it isnt that, neither the work offline option, i really dont have much experiendce with ie, so i thought i would need extra help on this one, and another thing, this person only has contact with me through telephone (he lives far away) so i would appreciate if you could tell me everything that may be a problem that comes to mind so i could tell him one by one.
PS: for this person simply using another browser is not an option, thats what he said to me Thank you in advance

Re: Everything but IE7
Hi this is my first post, also. I have the same problem with IE7 not recognizing that I am connected to the internet while other programs/browsers do "see" the connection. This occured after the Security Update for MS Windows (KB933566) ran and updated my system. If I delete the update, then IE7 "sees" the connection and surfs up I'm on the internet. I do not know what changes KB933566 did, but IE7 will not work for me after the update.
All (most) suggestions are welcomed. |
