keeps freezing

I am using Internet explorer 7 and it keeps freezing up. Not just once or twice but a hundred times a day… it used to be an occasional problem and now is a real pain… I can usually get it to open by opening a new window while loading another. My current download speed 850kb.

I have:
Cleared memory, cookies & temp files
Defragged
Disk clean
Cleared DNS memory
Removed and re-installed version 7
Changed to an earlier restore date.

Additionally I have added no programs since the installation.

Does anyone know how to fix this obnoxious problem?

Hello and welcome to TSF

Open up IE in safe mode to see if you get the same problems:

Click Start--All Programs--Accessories--System Tools--Internet explore (No add ons)
