Uninstalled IE7, now anti-phishing tool reeking havoc
I installed IE7 by mistake when doing updates. (All of the rest of our computers at the library I work at are using IE6 and all our patrons recognize it best right now.) And have since uninstalled it and IE6 is working fine. However, I need to make some changes to the public profiles we are using on that computer and the anti-phishing tool seems to be blocking all kinds of files from being able to be deleted. Of course I am logged into the administrator profile to make these changes and the error message says that it is the anti phishing tool that is causing the problem. I can't seem to get it turned off or uninstalled and it's denying me access to so many files.

Re: Uninstalled IE7, now anti-phishing tool reeking havoc
That's what I was trying to say by the fact that it will not let me do that. The option to turn the anti-phishing tool off and on is not available for some reason on this computer in the same place as the others. I am very aware of where to turn it on and off on the other machines. I am thinking that when I uninstalled IE7 the place to turn it on and off disappeared but apparently the effects of the tool are still in service. There must be some files that did not fully uninstall.

Re: Uninstalled IE7, now anti-phishing tool reeking havoc
I reinstalled IE7 and turned off the anti-phishing tool and that did not solve my problem. I am trying to delete some files in my documents and settings folder and all of them are protected (AT LEAST MARKED READ-ONLY which will not come off) and when I try to delete them the message when it stops deleting says that it has to do with anti-phishing that access is denied. I am in an admministrator log-in profile and all other security is unlocked. Now I don't know what to try next. Turning off the anti-phishing tool did nothing. I want to uninstall IE7 but I want to get this problem solved bwefore I do that.
