in mailbox, click to display attachment, IE encounters a problem. 0xc0000005
In mailbox, click to display attachment, get Windows IE msg "click to run ActiveX ctrl on this page." Matters not if I 'X' it out or click OK, immediately get msg "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close."
Creates an error report code 0xc0000005 addr 457e1dee. Send error report get kicked off line to home page. So far, (with my limited knowledge) I have run scandsk on C and D surfaces. Reloaded IE 7. Restored mcode from an earlier time. And other things I can't remember. Running Windows XP. Tnx for any help. JimK |

Hello and welcome to TSF
![]() I had a quick search in google and came across this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q240023/ As it says to obtain the 'hotfix' you need to contact Microsoft, it is a bit strange as it mentions it happens IN IE5. Good luck and I hope that helps
