Hi,

Welcome To TSF.

Have you scanned for any virus's and spyware?

What you can do while i wait for your reply is do a system scan of all windows files to make sure they are correct and not corrupt.

Go to Start > Run > "sfc /scannow" (Without ""'s and there is a space between the sfc and /) If it asks for a Windows CD please insert the Windows Installation disk.

After it finish's it will not display anything but it might solve this issue.

Thanks,

Jay.

Re: Internet Explorer shut down

Hi Jay,

I have been following this thread and have same problem.. I ran a complete a complete virus/adware scan from two different programs and did the sfc.......problem still exists...... i am running xp home/ie6.

Would going to ie7 help? I dont want to but if it fixes problem of ie shutting down then i have little choice. Is there anything else i could try before doing that?

Thanks

Jerry
