DNS Lookup Error
Hi,
My Internet Explorer will not connect to any websites. It will say "Connecting to example.com" for a long time and finally give me a Proxy Error, saying that a DNS lookup error occured. Many other programs are also unable to connect to the internet yet some programs can, such as Mozilla Firefox (which I am currently using). I also do not have an active firewall that would be preventing programs to connect to the internet. Can anyone give me any advice on fixing this problem? Would reinstalling Internet Explorer help any? Thank you all for your help :) |

Re: DNS Lookup Error
Hello and welcome to TSF
![]() Do you get a code message? What version do you have of IE? You should really get a firewall, it is very dangerous with out one. I would recommend a free one called Comodo the link is in my sig. |
