How to browse the cesh
Some movies, pictures and others are usually stored in the cesh. I want to browse the cesh, see the movies there and copy them on the hard drive. How to do it?

Re: How to browse the cesh
The word is "cache", also known as "Temporary Internet Files".
I see you're using Windows 98. I can't remember where the Temporary Internet Files folder is on Windows 98, but you can view it through Internet Explorer (which I assume is your browser) Go to Tools > Internet Options Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click on the "Settings" button. On the new window that will pop up, click on the "View Files..." button. It will open the folder with your Temporary Internet Files (cache). I hope this helps. |

Re: How to browse the cesh
Thanks for the reply. The answer was very useful, however I want to go further. I have heared about a "local cash" - that I understood are the cesh files in the folder that you said. However how to search for videos there? Some of them are in .swf format and others in .flv format, but I am sure that at least 10 clips were downloaded and only 2 were there when I searched for them.

Re: How to browse the cesh
The cache, or Temporary Internet Files is set to only take up a certain amount of hard drive space. So if you viewed ten clips, and only two were stored, the others would have been deleted because the hard drive space limit would have been reached.
To increase the amount of hard drive space you want to use for the cache, or Temporary Internet files, go to Tools > Internet Options Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click on the "Settings" button. Here you can adjust how much hard drive space you want the Temporary Internet Files to take up. The higher it is, the more files you will be able to keep. Here's a tip. If you want to save lots of files, go to the Temporary Internet Files while you are still browsing online, and copy the files you want to keep into another folder (like My Documents, for example). This way, you can be sure of keeping the files you want, rather than finding out they had been deleted because the limit was reached. I hope this helps. |
