IE 6 problems

My Internet Explorer 6 has started to shut down unexpectedly or posts "IE has encountered a problem and must shut down..."
How can I fix this. I don't want to upgrade to IE 7 (WIFI issues). Thanks

Here are a couple of things to look at and try if it applies to you concerning error message.

Iexplore.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
