cannot search the net
most of the time when i type in a search i get the dreaded cannot find or page cannot be displayed screen. this happens a lot but i seem to be okay if i type in the actual web address of a page i know. i am pon aol9 and have win xp . i have tried deleting temp files,, clearing cache, rebuilding adaptor and more can anyone help or does anyone have the same problem

It sounds like to me you're typing your searches in the address bar. To search for something on the Internet, you need to use a Search Engine. You've probably heard of Google, as it's the most famous. You can visit Google here, or you can type in the address in the address bar: http://www.google.com/
Alternatively, if you have parental controls set on your AOL account, that could be stopping you from being able to search for anything. If that is the case, you would need to speak with your parents or carers about it. I hope this helps you. |
