Internet Explorer 6

I can not install Internet Explorer 6 update. The error message says to close all running applications and try again. I have done this and the same error happens.
I have also had a tech here to work on it and he cannot install from a CD. Same error. I have Windows ME. Not sure what to do now?

Here is a link to a possible solution to the problem of installing IE6 on an Me computer.

http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/ReInIE.htm

I've been researching the problem trying to find a solution that will work, and this one sounds like the most knowledgeable and comprehensive solution I have been able to find. But please note that I can't say for certain that it will work. If I get the client's OK to try it, I'll post another reply and let you know the outcome. And if you try it and it works for you, please post a reply.

This problem certainly has been a major headache! Good luck to you in making it work!
