IE Homepage help (RESOLVED)
Currently have IE6, had problems with IE7 so reverted back to 6.
Problem in both IE6 or IE7, I am unable to set my homepage. I go into "Tools", "Internet Options" and go to "use current" and then apply, then ok. If I close this options menu, and go back to it, the orginal default is back as if I have not changed a thing... it is defaulting to the "gateway computer" website of www.gatewaybiz.com Anyone know how to get rid of this, so I can set my homepage to google? |

Set it to google in Control Panel>Internet Options/Apply/Ok
Then immediately open SpywareBlaster and lock the home page. Tools>Misc. IE Settings>put a check next to 'Disable the IE Home Page etc.' If you don't have it get it here; SpywareBlaster - Prevent spyware from ever being installed! http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html When installed check for updates then 'Enable All Protection'. What SB does; # Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted software. # Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. # Restrict the actions of potentially unwanted sites in Internet Explorer. |
