Proxies & "...Port not Configured..."
I have an account at a Paypal-type site. From within my account, there is one particular page I cannot get to. When I try, I get another page that says, "The following error was encountered: The request was rejected because the port it was connecting to is not configured to receive the protocol being sent. Please contact your network administrator."
I am behind a proxy. I tried many different free, high anonymity proxies, plus the one I'm paying for, and I keep getting the same message. However, when I change the proxy settings in the browser (Mozilla) to Direct Connection to Internet, it works fine. However, for future use, it is not an option to directly connect to the internet, so is there something I can do to make this page work? It's only that one page--I can get to other HTTPS web pages just fine. I will answer any followup questions you may have. Thank you! |
