Gmail invites

Hey guys, I just got Gmail set up, and I have 3 or 4 invites to give out to a TSF regular. Anyone who expresses interest will be considered, but I'll give senior TSF members the first crack.

Refresh our memory. What does Gmail offer that I can't live without? Assuming that I don't keep gigabytes of my mail on-line, what other features does it have?

john, I'm not forcing it down anybody's throat. I don't get money for people that sign up with a link I give them. I just thought some people here would enjoy having an account with a provider that was still in the beta stage. That's all.

As to the benefits of gmail: it has almost no ads, it's very fast to receive an email sent (minimal delay), and it lays out a series of emails in context so that you don't have to remember each time what you've sent before.

I believe gmail has a minimum of 6 letters in the username, unfortunately.

Gmail is a great email service. The ads are not at all instrusive for me. I have two accounts already (lol - I know it's crazy - what am I going to use it for) and have 10 invitations already.

All my accounts are POP3 accounts, so I get a list of the mail from any/all just the way I like to see them in Eudora. Comcast has given their accounts 175mb of storage for each user name, I doubt I'll ever use that much.
