more info

along with the extra microsoft internet explorer blank pages that pop up there is an error sound that come with them..could this be from errors in the registry from previous explorer installations? i have run registry cleaner tune up utilities but the error doesnt seem to be there...well no errors found anyway.

No one ,even Microsoft seems to know how to fix it. Sometimes when I open IE 3 pages of MY MSN open. All 3 three may be different. Have spent several hours with Microsoft e-mail support.

Re: explorer opens two pages at once

Because I wanted to install MusicMatch Jukebox 8 (for historic reasons) I had to uninstall IE7 and get back to IE6.
Now the behaviour is precisely as what is written on this page!
Oh no! Heeelp!!!!

Re: explorer opens two pages at once

When the first page starts to load close it. Let the second page load, go to tools, advanced, Reset, restart IE.

Re: explorer opens two pages at once

There might be the possibility of some wrong settings in the internet explorer .
So to resolve this issue try to reset the settings of the internet explorer .so go to the Tools > internet options > Advance and finally click on the reset .
this will reset all the settings of the internet explorer .

Grin Re: explorer opens two pages at once

I installed Firefox and then found that when I opene IE, a link automatically opened Firefox! I could not even reset this!
So in the end I did three things:
Followed the last advice from MatthewForu to reset IE. Then still found that FF opened...
Then via Control Panel - Add/Remove Program - Add/Remove Windows Compnents - removed the check before IE to uninstall it. Restarted the PC, then installed IE again
Last one: uninstall Firefox.
What exactly did the trick and what not I am not sure but at least everythings is back to normal again!!!!
Thanks for your help to get this resolved!
