Ptawia(RESOLVED)

I have recently been getting this message, "PTAWIA needs to shut down or is being shut down" when I am shutting down my computer after using CleanUp. I usually end up having to use the windows task manager to close it. What is PTAWIA? What is causing this problem? Can it be fixed?

This has been happening after I installed IE7.

Should I run a HiJack This log?

Thank you.

WIA is a driver for XP used for scanners and cameras.
Do you have Kodak Easyshare software running?

Yes I do have Kodak Easyshare installed on my computer. Which I only installed to show a computer illiterate friend how to use her recently purchased camera. I don't plan on using Easyshare. Any suggestions?

I can always count on the folks at techsupportforum for help no matter how trivial the problem. But be sure to walk away for a nice dinner for a few hours on Thursday.

Hello to everyone, I registered today to find the solution to always having PTAWIA shutting down showing when I shut down my PC, but I found the answer immediately thanks to others getting the same message.
I hope/wish all my PC problems could be fixed so easily.
