Cannot view page in online class

IE6 sp2, Windows XP Professional, Norton Antivirus Spyware Edition 2005, Spyware Guard, Spyware Blaster

I have an online class and cannot view one page in the class - the gradebook. School's tech support says it's a pop-up blocker or ad blocker issue. I've tried disabling the blockers and allowing all kinds of permissions in IE6 and in Norton; don't know how to do the others. Disabling them didn't help anyway. I still can't view the page on my computer. Other components of this class are working fine. Anything else I can try?????

Are you getting an error message ("Page cannot be displayed", "Invalid Page Fault", "Could not open the search page", etc) or not?

Did the School Tech Support tell you if this page has any specific requirements (security settings, add-ons, java, active-x, scripts, etc) to be viewed?

On the right bottom corner of the IE6 window, are you getting any icons like the two ones in the attached pic?

"Page cannot be displayed" is the error I'm getting. At the bottom is says "cannot find server or DNS error".

Java is required for the course and is installed on my computer. The school mentioned nothing in the way of active-x or scripts. I'm not sure if these are add-ons but they also require shockwave and flash player.

AHA!!! I double clicked the privacy report and found a blocked cookie. I allowed it, refreshed my browser, and there is my gradebook for me to view!!! The other icon wasn't there.

Thanks a bunch for your help.
Carol

I'm really glad you sorted it out, Carol - cheers! Now, on you go with your online class work!...

NOTE 1: Do not forget to re-enable all security measures you disabled while experimenting with lower settings.

NOTE 2: It is surprising that the so-called tech support for this school did not suggest you to do the obvious...
