Internet Explorer Popup Help
Hi,
I'm having some problems with opening certain popups with IE. I have a popup blocker enabled which works well, and if I need to open a pop-up I can usually just hold down CTRL and the popup will work. However, for some popups, when I hold down CTRL and click, the window that opens goes straight to my homepage. I'm not sure if this is to do with Java settings or something, but I don't really know a lot about these things. All I know is that it happens when the link is a weird sort of button, for example: when I'm in my junk email folder and i try to click on 'empty' - goes straight to my homepage!!! Please help!!! Cheers Paddy |

I don't have any special sort of pop up blocker, I'm just using the one that comes with XP/IE.
I upgraded to the beta version of IE 7, but that didn't fix the problem. I'm also running Norton AntiVirus. I regularly run AdAware and Spybot S&D to keep my machine malware free, so I don't think I have any spyware problems that could be causing the problem. Unfortunately I think my problem is different to yours Hanover, the stuff in your thread doesn't really help me. |
