IE and Messenger link problems

This is a small issue, but at times I do find it frustrating. I am running current versions of both IE and Messenger live and at times links in Messenger to open a window in IE do nto work. For example the view profile link used to then bring up a IE window showing the persons profile, now I do not get anything. Any ideas how to fix? Hi,
try re-installing IE.

On another computer, I found this same problem, and it happened when it got filled with spyware, and Viruses.
Check for spyware/Viruses on your computer, in my signiture, follow the 'Having problems with spyware/viruses', and post a HJT log where indicated.
