IE 6.0 refreshing problem

Explorer keeps refreshing the page I am viewing about every 15-20 seconds and locks out my ability to scroll down. How do I turn this off or at least make IE wait for 3 min. or so? Thanks in advance for responses.

Delete your browsers cache, this will take 6 mouse clicks (Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files, Delete all offline content, OK, OK).
