IE6 and Task Manager

I use IE6 for web browsing, but it's constantly getting hung up when loading pages. A page will start to load, but won't finish and the progress bar will never move. So, I hit ctrl+alt+delete to bring up the TaskManager to see what's going on...if maybe some other program is trying to download and is screwing things up. But, as soon as I bring up the TaskManager window, IE will finish loading the page. It's so weird.
I have a firewall and antivirus running. I haven't seen any unusual activity, like spyware or a virus or something...and I've ran full scans.
I just don't get why IE will get stuck, but as soon as I bring up the task manager, it'll load the page right up.
Any suggestions or thoughts what it might possibly be? I'm completely stumped.

If you've gotten all your updates, and your tools/IO settings are all the same as they were before the problem started, and you are sure you have no malware, and you still have the problem, you might try an IE repair.
