Cry Internet Explorer

Hi everybody,
I don't know if I posted in the right forum with my question...If I didn't I am sorry. I hope someone here can help me. Since about a year I have a problem with Internet Explorer/Windows Media Player. Every time I open a site that contains WMP...like myspace...yahoo music and many many other sites, I get a message saying "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and after that it closes not only this one window but all the other Internet windows that are opened at the moment. One time as I send the "Error report" I got instructions on what to do...and at fault were supposedly add-ons. I fallowed the instructions and turned them off one by one and checked if it is working but...nothing. I even tried to download older/newer versions of WMP but that doesn't seem to matter. Please can anyone help me!!! I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you all for reading my message.

Have you tried using the latest version of Windows Media and installing it as your default player?

Have you tried another browser?

If the problem is just with Internet EXplorer then another browser might work fine. I generally use Firefox but use MS Internet EXplorer when I have a malfunction to see if the problem is with my browser or elsewhere. Last time when my streaming media wouldn't work in either program I found the problem was in having wrong drivers for video for motherboard. This happened when I installed anew video card. Have you checked all your devices and drivers to see if they are functioning properly?

no I didn't...I don't even know how to do it..... ....I don't want to use any other explorers because I dodn't like them as much as the one I have...and some don't allow me to make shortcuts (which is very important to me) and I don't want to use the "Favorites" feature. But you're right...I will try to install another explorer and see if this is the problem. Thank you

Try Firefox to see if that gives you the same problems.

I think you can see up most browsers to look a lot alike so there shouldn't be something that seems real hard to learn or use. If another browser works, then you might also try replacing your Internet Explorer with a new install to see if that fixes the problem.
