Roll Eyes internet explorer acces violation

I really have a weird problame and have no idea where to start, thats why I try to post here.
First I want to say that my pc is completly in german and I live in germany but I can´t write german that´s why I post here.
And now to my problame,
When I open internet explorer,it gives me the message that it found a failure and must be shut down, then I get a error message:

Die anweisung in "0xa1660fb8" verweist auf Speisher in "0xa1660fb8". Der Vorgang "read" konnte nicht auf dem Speicher durchgeführt werden.

I know it is in german but I hope you can still help me out.
after that it all shuts down and I don´t get anywere.
If I restart windows it helps to get rid of my problame, but by the next restart
it comes up again. It is really troublesome
I hope someone can help me soon out.
thanks

Is this error message regarding the read operation on memory (thank Altavista's Babelfish for the translation) only occurring with Internet Explorer, or does it happen to other programs as well?

I would recommend you reinstall IE6 and patch it through Windows Update, as some unpatched versions of IE have had memory corruption problems that've been fixed.

If this happens to also be occurring with other programs as well it can be an indication of bad RAM - you should run a memory diagnostic utility like Windows Memory Diagnostic to check your RAM from the link below:

Yaeh now that you say it it, when it happens it happens an all other programs as well, I think you are right with me having a bad ram, and I runed that memory diagnostic utility, the only problame is that it does´nt seem to work, I always get the error message "Disk I/0 error" while rebooting.
Maybe I should try it with a cd.

Windows Memory Diagnostic will need to be put on a floppy disk or CD and ran on boot (have the appropriate drive boot first by changing the boot priority in your BIOS). Make sure you have a good floppy disk, as pulling an old dusty one from the attic probably means the disk is no longer good. I've had brand-new floppy disks newly bought not work because they were no good.
