IE search bar

I posted this under "other browser" before I saw there is a section for IE.
Hope you guys can help.

Recently my search bar on the side of IE only comes up with "Page cannot be displayed".

I can go to all of the search websites by typing there names in the address bar but no matter which I choose to use in this option on the left side of IE they will not pull up.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,
try re-installing the browser. The version you have is still beta, therfore you will get problems like this.
I use Netscape, it is a lot better, and more reliable, and way more safer, and way more features. Maybe you might want to consider getting it.

What about my post makes you think I am running a beta version of IE???
It is version 6.02... as far as I know this isnt a beta version. Personally I like Mozilla over both IE and netscape but I cannot use it at work. I have to use IE.

Any other help in this area would be great.

Oh, sorry, I thought you would have IE 7 as you have a search bar. Is there one on IE 6 then? Or is it a seperate download? If it is, try re-installing that. If not, try re-installing the browser. Though as you are at work, you would need administator privaliges.
