IE... and FF problem!
Well I used to visit a site alot.. but recently a big problem has happened ...
When i visit the site.. everything works fine... but then I try logging in and I can.. it comes to a redirecion page (like it is meant to on VB)... and then the next page it says it cannot find it... then any other page of that site I try to access it cannot find... even the hompage i started from! I then delete my cookies and all is fine.. but i am a guest so cant post.. i try logging in again.. and same thing happens... SO how can I fix this problem.. as it is not occuring to anyone else... they are all visiting the site fine as many posts are being updated.. This has happened on 2 computers... so what is the problem? |

Hi,
you may have got mixed up with the advanced tab. In the privacy tab, there should be 4 buttons, 'Sites', 'Import', 'Advanced' and 'Default'. Click on the 'Advanced' button. If you do not have this, print screen it. |

The only other thing I can think of is try re-installing the browser, or upgrading the browser. What version do you currently have?

Do you tick the 'Remember me' box when you login?
Are you using any other blocking software or plugins? Does your firewall block cookies? Try contacting the site to see what they suggest. http://www.theadminzone.com/forums/sendmessage.php

Ok...so you've tried creating a new account on the site which initially works then after logging out or closing the browser, you're back to square one?
It may be an idea to create a new user profile within XP and give it admin access then reboot your computer and log on to the new profile and then try the site again. If it still happens, try temporarily disabling your firewall and any ad-blocking software you may have installed to see if that helps. Also, please try with another browser such as firefox or opera to see if the same happens with those and post back with your progress please :) One more question...do you have a static IP address?

A static IP address is when you have the same IP address everytime you connect to the internet. Some ISP's use that kind of addressing system as opposed to a dynamic IP address which is where it changes up reconnection.
You can find out by reconnecting a few times and then checking if your IP address changes. You can do this by either: - Clicking Start -> Run -> type: cmd - Then click OK - That will launch your Command Prompt. At the flashing cursor type: ipconfig - Then press Enter - Then your IP address details will pop up or - You can visit the following website: What Is My IP. Also, have you tried a different user profile within XP yet?

Yes, I have tried a different profile.
I can try on my own computer, it had got bad and wasn't working got it set up again yesterday. I will try on that and see if the new name I registered works. I am at school at moment so I will try later and tell you what happens. |
