Download Disappears?
Have anyone experienced this situation where you download .zip file from any websites and it disappears after download manager completes? No files were ever found in Target folder?
In my case, I use IE6 SP2 and IZArc Download Manager, Before I start download, I've always click on save so I can decide where zip file is going to place in my target folder rather than temp folder. After download complete, it disappear instantly before they were able to ask me I want to open file rom the folder or anything, I confirmed close this dialog box after download completes is unchecked. I checked at target folder, none of zipped file is there....I have confirmed that show hidden file and extenison is enabled in folder option. At first, I thought maybe it was someone's link that have problem with downloading. But it wasn't it was mine that it could not download any zipped file from any link anywhere. So here what I did attempting resolving symptom: -I made first test, trying download file saved in desktop... -I removed IZArc Download/Extraction files -Tried another Internet browser such as AOL -Restore system None of these above works, I don't know any other way to resolve... I could not even fix I.E. issue because there is no way I could download patch, problem solver software and etc... Any idea how I could resolve this matter? |

First thing I'd do is to remove [b]anything with aol on it. Then, try removing IZarc and see if your downloads are found with it removed. If not, try using Mozilla Firefox or Opera or any of those browsers and see if you can find your downloads. Just some quick and easy troubleshooting steps to see if you can isolate your problem. I personally have never used IZarc so I can't say if that's the cause.

As for result, mozilla firefox browser worked, I downloaded files and found them in target folder... But not IE, so its clearly show there's problem with IE. Is there a way to repair IE6 by removing and reinstall or resorting default setting back to get it working again?
