G'Day Tontoe,
There's a number of ways to 'tweak' your computer and Internet Connections..I suggest that you try http://www.cnet.com ,and click on 'How to' at the top of the page. They periodically run some very informative courses regarding this very subject, amongst others, to do with computing..they had just finished a 6 Lesson course about speeding up your PC, and I for one found the information to be invaluable. It would be interesting to know how much RAM you have on board with the Pen III 733Mhz CPU, as I used to have one that 'flew' with 512Mb RAM. Please post back with this answer. Good Luck with the tweaking. Regards, Dave T.

G/day Dave, and thanks for your reply,
I think you are spot on with the Ram, its only running on 2 x 128mb now and running xp, i think it can actually take 2 x 512 mb [ limit] which would make a hell of a lot of differance to the performance, at the present time i can't do much about the Ram but its something i would like to do a bit later on. Thanks very much for the tweaks referance, i shall go there very soon, at check it out. many thanks, regards Tontoe |

Hi Tontoe,
When you've go the RAM sorted, give us a shout and tell us if there is any improvement. As a matter of interest, I would reckon that you are using SDRAM, and it goes pretty cheaply on eBay. Good Luck! Regards, Dave T.
