Question Disable caching from specific URLs?

Hi,

My younger siblings surf the internet all day, oging to websites that are packed with images that fill up the browser cache and slow my computer to a hault.

How do I prevent specific domain names from downloading files (images, cookies) to my computer while still retaining their functionality?

You could limit the cache size to a more managable amount...

- Control Panel
- Internet Options
- General tab -> Temporary Internet Files -> Settings
- Change 'Amount of disk space to use:' to 150MB or less
- Click Apply then OK
- Clear the cache/cookies etc
- Restart and see how that goes :-)

Also, you can change the location of the cache to a different partition with more space too...but if you're experiencing slow downs caused just by cache, you may also want to think about getting more space for your C drive as you may end up losing or corrupting data.

Hope that helps :-)
