Help please!!!

I have been having problems when I go on the internet! Everytime I go to a page the ad's dont come up. I find it very very very annoying! There is either a little box with a red x in the middle on the upper right corner, or a little box with shapes in it, a triangel, square and circle. There all different colors. Also, as I was going through tech support, not all the little pictures came up, a little white box appears with a red little box in the middle, i had to right click and click on show picture! annoying! Does anyone know how to fix this??? and im sorry if i posted this in the wrong place, i am new to this and wasn't sure where to post. Thank you for your time and help!

Hello. Welcome to Tech Support.

I am using Internet Explorer 7, if you use IE 6 your settings may be slightly different.

Try this:

1. Click Tools > Internet Options
2. Click Advanced Tab
3. Scroll down to multimedia options
4. Make sure 'Show Images' is checked.

Now click apply and ok, visit any site to see if thaty worked, let me know.

Are you using any anti-spyware/popup blocking software which blocks adverts and banners etc?

What about your firewall settings? The Privacy menu in ZoneAlarm looks like this
