Grin IE 6 cannot properly show chinese word

Dear all,

For Hong Kong government official website, some Big 5 Chinese word cannot be showed in IE 6. But when I try use firefox, it can show properly.

In fact, I really need to stick to use IE. I have installed the official HK Language support by HK government but still not work.

Any suggestion or method to solve it???

MANY THANKS

Hello Roy,
Have you tried inserting your Ms Office disk and add the extra languages?
Once you insert the CD it should automatically start the Set Up and give you the option of Adding/Removing components.

This link might also assist......

Please post back and let us know how you went.

Kind Regards,

In all honesty...you've got me stumped too. Hopefully someone else here might have a clue.

Are the words part of an image or some kind of script?

Do you have any popup blocking software which could be blocking them?

What do you get instead of the text? An empty space or a small red cross etc??

Any chance you can send a screenshot of the problem so some of us can test the page?

Thanks :-)
