IE wont open, and i forgot how i fixed it before...

My computer had problems a while back. i got a LASS error message which shut the computer down, and my internet explorer didnt work. I came here a while ago, got help, and have been helping other people fix their own computers ever since.

heres the thing, My brothers computer had the same problem, and i fixed everything but the IE error. It causes IE to shut down as soon as it opens. My brother Checked the internet connection, and says its fine, but IE still wont open.

Also, in HJT, there is a line that mentions an error with IE, and HJT cannot delete it. it says it must be fixed using something else. Im sorry i dont have the specifics, but im kinda posting this from memmory since i dont have the computer in my posession anymore.

I gave him Firefox to install, and i am hoping that he can get around the IE problem for now, but even if he can, it still needs to be fixed.

Thanks,
Jared
