Thumbs Up Tecumseh II Mini-tiller gears stripped?

I have a mini-tiller that does not turn the blades. They seem to not be meshing very often as I can 'walk the tiller' across the yard, and the gearing seems to be missing most of the time you apply a light load. I loaned the tiller to a neighbor a year ago, and they don't seem to know what is wrong or what happened. Since I do not have the owners manual, and the tiller is at least 15 years old, how do I know what parts will be needed and where to obtain them?

Re: Tecumseh II Mini-tiller gears stripped?

Sorry no one ever got got back to you, as you really posted in the wrong forum. You should have posted to the Small Engine section of the Automotive Forum.

Guessing you need to adjust the clutch tension and or replace the belt.

Don't think it is a gear problem.
