Won't connect?

Hey,
I really don't like the Sony Ericsson W580i. It's just recently caused a new problem. I used to be able to transfer pictures and data from my phone to my computer effortlessly, using a data cable. Oddly enough, that's not an option now. I plugged in the data cable, and got the little "dreet" to acknowledge that it's plugged in. But there's no window that shows the usual ,"Would you like to..." or "New software...", even after I press "File Transfer". I know for a fact that I don't need the software, because I've been doing this for months. I also know that it doesn't matter which USB slot I put it in(I have a Toshiba laptop).

Ready to throw my computer at the wall like a caveman,

Have you tried using file explorer to see if the device is listed as an extra drive?

Would that entail me visiting the location "Start > Computer"? Because if so, then yes, I've been there, and it does't show up for some reason. That was a good idea, anyways.

By chance is it showing up as a USB Modem in the device manager?

Re: Won't connect?

If its like my Kyrocera there is a good chance that your provider updated the software and put a lock on it so you will have to pay to use your own stuff.

Also an interesting idea, and it does.
It looks something like the attachment, actually.

My god, that'd be terrible. If all else fails, I hope your answer is incorrect, haha.
