[SOLVED] Help help help

I'm having a problem with my itunes library, i tried playing songs in my pc and am being told itunes cannot find the original file, and then asks if I want to locate it, when I say yes I go into the library file find it and click on the selected file and it plays, but then when I go back and play again same story, can't find original file. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no change??? I'm running xp.

I've had a win... kind of... I think. For some reason when I go through my library at the moment and try to play a song i go through the whole thing with locating the song (which is still in the itunes music file)

what used to happen when I closed down itunes and go back in again I would have to locate the song again but for some reason now they are staying 'located'

So I'm classing it as a win of sorts although after two hours of working my way down my list i'm up to the G's. I have about 1800 songs
