Possibly Fatal Damage to plasma
Hi all,
I have a 50" plasma (LG) tv, something got splashed on the screen so I cleaned it off like you would. Problem is the cloth I used had some sort of cleaning product on it (possibly polish or similar) now the screen has sort of multi coloured swirls all over it, almost like water marks. I've tried glass cleaner, a warm damp microfiber cloth and they just wont shift. Do you think i've damaged the screen? is there any way to repair this? the TV is also about 3 years old. Thanks, Daniel |

Re: Possibly Fatal Damage to plasma
Hi and welcome to TSF
![]() May want to check with the manufactures web site to see what they use or recommed first. Just a basic cleaner info: NEVER try to clean the TV with window/glass cleaner, they are not glass. You can try a 50-50 mix of iso-propyl alcohol and distilled water (not tap water/mineral water) Spay it on a super clean, supper soft cloth, not on the screen. Don't use things like paper towels/bath towels. It may take more than one cleaning. Remember never rub hard. Like any home cleaning solution, you use it at your own risk. BG |
