iPod Freezes Itunes
I have an iPod Video 30g, i believe 4th gen but not sure. There is no visible damage other than minor scratches on the backplate. I had a few thousand songs, 10-20 videos, and probably about 23 photos. One day when going to listen to music, i noticed that all the songs were gone, along with all the videos. However, all the photos were still there. When I go to about, it says 0 songs, 0 videos, 23 photos 27.8GB capacity and 27.6GB available. I plugged it into my Vista computer to resync it, and opened iTunes. My computer froze and wouldn't let me do anything. I tried soft resets, and cannot hard reset because you need to do that thru iTunes. I can however open the iPod folder thru windows explorer. In the Music part of this, there are all the folders F00-F49, but the folders are empty.
