Sony Ericsson w580i problem... can't put as ringtone

So yeah, I just got a w580i, it is unlocked from AT&T to T-Mobile. I already have the PC Suite, so I tried to transfer one of the song files already in my computer to the phone's internal memory. It plays fine and all in the Walkman feature and other stuff, but it doesn't let me use it as a ringtone, and I've seen friends of mine do this with this same model of Sony Ericsson.

Help, please?

I just read that this cellphone can't put an MP3 file that is more than 300kb as ringtone nor more than 30 seconds because it is from AT&T. Thanks for your help. >_>

Now I ask if there is a way to get this cellphone hacked or something to make it unlimited like other Sony Ericssons I know and seen they can have a 3MB song as a ringtone and from AT&T. So... is there?
