DVD Player Help

I have had this dvd for a couple months and it has always worked great.

Yesterday my brother brought over a burnt dvd for his kid to watch and the dvd player immediately started skipping. its the first time ive tried playing a home burnt dvd, but the player does claim to support dvd-+r.

I chalked it up at first to being an old disc but immediately after NO dvds will play correctly. DVDs that have always worked skip like crazy now.

I tried spraying some compressed air to clean it up but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas? Could it have messed up the alignment or anything?
