Can I use AC powered computer speakers connected to the audio outputs jacks on my TV ?

I guess it has 3.5mm. It is a three wire mini jack at the speaker and on my TV I have two RCA jacks marked left and right with an adapter to connect them to a three wire cable. I have the cable all made up but I am chicken to connect them until I know a little about them.

Are you afraid that you will blow your speakers or something? I am not familiar with a 'three wire mini jack'. Maybe if you find a picture and post a link to it might help. But it sounds like it should work, since you have an adapter for it. I use something like this:

I use these because my speakers have the 3.5mm jack. Its the most common. Its usually green I think. Anyway, I hope this helps... Post back any other questions you might have.
