IPOD not recognising random tracks
Hi there
I have an 80g IPod and it has started to not recoginse and then fail to play random tracks. The tracks are visible on the screen but the various docking platforms I use (home docking centre and car radio) seem to not be able to read them and skip to the next track. The tracks did work previously. What is wrong?? Help!!!! |

Re: IPOD not recognising random tracks
Hello everybody
I now can only play two tracks on my ipod and it begins to skip through the playlists - as if it is searching for the tracks, but cant find them. Is my ipod wrecked? HELP! |

Re: IPOD not recognising random tracks
Hey molymoly,
Hahaha I dont think it is wrecked !!! Try restarting your ipod by holding down the middle button & the menu button at the sametime. This will restart your ipod a clear any glitches you are having. Once you have done that I would maybe restore your ipod back to the factory settings via itunes, this will re-install the ipod software, though please note that it will also wipe your ipod as well. Once it has done that just drag & drop your music back to your ipod & all should work again !!! As a hint I would not use the automically sync your music to your ipod for some reason it can corrupt some of the files. Dragging your music from the itunes music folder to your ipod seems to work a lot better & you don't get as much problems !! Hope this helps !! Cheers
