Question my ipod classic crashed, i suspect my jbl dock did it

i have an 80 gigs ipod classic and it crashed, i suspect this jbl ipod dock i have did it cause it started acting funky after i plugged it to it until it crashed, i can't get it to reset or anything, i keep pressing menu and action to reset it, and the apple pops up, then i press action and play/pause to go to hard drive mode and it just goes back to the x symbol, anybody has any idea as to what can i do, or should i just play freesbee with this one and start saving for a new one? thank

Re: my ipod classic crashed, i suspect my jbl dock did it

Is itunes still picking your ipod up on your computer ??

If it is I would do a restore factory settings on your ipod from itunes, this will re-install the ipod software !! This will also wipe your ipod as well but as long as you have everything on itunes you can just drag & drop your stuff back onto your ipod.

Cheers
