Cell Phones - Prepaid -Pay As You Go
I am just not one of those folks who stays on the phone all the time. Text messaging not even needed - that's what I have computer email for.
![]() Anyway, I'm trying to figure out which service might be better. And I've pretty much narrowed it down to AT&T and Alltel. (These both work for where I will be going to college and where relatives live.) ![]() I could not find any reviews for Alltel - are they that new! The AT&T review said really good but cost more. And do these phones have the same type reception as regular cell phone service. I can remember when people were complaining about them (of course they complained about other cell phones also - ).So does anyone have any idea - since most of you probably have the regular cell phone services - do you know of anyone with this type??? ![]() Thanks a bunch,

Re: Cell Phones - Prepaid -Pay As You Go
I would not touch either for the pay as you go. I used to do pay as you go and at the first of the year considered it again. I found the cheapest if you make a lot of phone calls is net10 and if you dont make that many tracfone is the best. You only pay for minutes and not any service/daily fees just to use the phone like the others.
They both have great national service. As far as who is Alltel, they has been around for a long time and mostly in the south. It has recently been sold to verizon so they may be changing names at the first of the year.
