OS: windows xp home edition


usb not working

Hi i used to just plug my usb cable into the computer and phone and it will come up on the screen now nothing.I've tried it on another computer and it works,before when i put the usb cable into the computer it used to make a noise a message will pop up saying now nothing.My computer working ok my os is windows xp home edition.I've got 3 phone none work on mine

Go to the device manager and check to see if there are any red or yellow marks in that USB area.

(start, control panel, system, hardware, device manager)

no nothing,but I have notice when i press portable devices it shows a red cross on nokia 6233 does this mean anything.I've got two other phones there seam to be nothing on device manager showing this.When I got my phones it came with software which i loaded and is still on my programs

Did it work before or just start doing this? If it worked before, try a system restore to before it acted up.
