iTunes 7 shuts down my pc when downloading CDs

I recently opened iTunes to download some new CD's onto my iPod.
When the "download iTunes 7" appeared, I agreed to the upgrade.
Now, when I try to download a CD, it works for about 4 songs and then turns my computer OFF. Extremely annoying to have restart/reboot every few songs. Can someone advise me on how to get iTunes 7 OFF my computer or how to set my PC Windows operating system so that this annoying shut down goes away. Thank you for any assistance in plain English that a techno dodo can decipher. 2blackcats

Maybe you should just uninstall the program.. go to your pc's control panel.. you'll know where to go from there..

be warned though, i'm no expert. but you can always give it a try.

If you run a Windows PC I recommend WinAMP as compared to iTunes.
