home phone not working

my cousin called from jail and i accepted the call, he asked me to three way the call with his mother who was not answering his phone, so i did. I hung up after it said he had a minute left and they said their goodbyes but now on the phone screen it just says "HAND SET NO LINE" and when i press talk to hear a dial tone, it just says not available and beeps. any way of getting rid of this?

Hello, Welcome to TSF.

Try unpluging and repluging the phone line and the power cord. If that doesn't fix it, your best bet would probably be to contact your telephone carrier.
