Confused Messed up my 16gb Zen faceplate...

I was very, very naughty this morning.

In my rush to get to work this morning, I tossed my new 16gb Zen into a pouch in my purse. Unbeknownst to me at the time, a broken hair clip was hiding in there and, well, see for yourself:

After a few choice words, I frantically searched the web for replacement faceplates, to no avail. I contacted Creative's customer service department, and they said they do not sell spare parts for their products. Ebay was not much help either.

The way I see it, I have 4 options:

1.) Live with it- cost: $0
2.) Buy a scratch repair product like Applesauce- cost: $20
3.) Buy another Zen (maybe a 2gb?) and swap faceplates- cost: $70+
4.) Pay the %^$# at Creative mad bank to fix it- cost: prohibitive

That is, of course, unless anyone here has better ideas or recommendations? I could not find anyone selling spare parts for my kind of Zen. Did I miss something?

Thanks in advance for your help.

NOTE: The scratches are wide, but not all that deep.
