I've come full circle- from downloading illegal MP3s, to "buying" DRM'd WMAs, back to buying CDs. That's mostly because I've realized how much loss of sound there is with mp3/wma/itunes. If an album has mostly good songs, I think it's worth buying in a physical medium. That way, you can rip it in any bitrate and any format you want (I like FLAC), and you have a copy of it in case the file gets lost.

I second Fox. I have CDs of most of my library. The other two-thirds belong to my brother. He's the reason my machine is broken more times than it runs, and my training in hw necromancy.
