mp3 not working
Hi i have a sansa e260 it worked fine up until last night i was updating it and ia warning messege came up saying not enough space for DM, then it went off when i re started it was a black screen that said load main image failed switch to recovery mode, i tried to re set but that did not work, i switched to recovery mode and tried to update but i have the most current update already, i tried to use device recovery that i downloaded from the san disk web page but nothing is working, can anyone help me with this?

It's possible you did not follow the instructions exactly to the letter. Sandisk's "help" documents aren't very useful.
WARNING: The steps below describe recovering a Sandisk Sansa E-class device. This is intended as a last resort, as this will delete ALL your data.. Make backups if you can access the player through the computer. 1. Download the latest update to your hard drive. 2. While the player is OFF and DISCONNECTED from your computer, slide the HOLD switch towards the headphone jack (so the orange appears). 3. Put the player end of the USB cable into the player. Hold down the RECORD button on the side. Plug the USB into the computer. Keep holding down the RECORD button until you see RECOVERY MODE in the OS's white lettering. 4. The player should enter Recovery Mode. If the player does not enter Recovery Mode, ensure you have followed the above instructions. 5. When the player has stopped spitting data at you, run the program you downloaded in Step 1. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the new OS upgrade to the player. 6. Upload your data back to the player and test playback of files. I don't see another way to restore functionality now.
