Exclamation [resolved]Which PC is better? (RESOLVED)

I am litterally 10 minutes from purchasing my next PC which I hope will last at least 5+ years. The first PC is here. The second PC is here. Thanks for all the help!

Idea Re: Which PC is better?

Probably not the best section for this so you may not get the best views offering tips about it, but heres mine for what it's worth.

Personally I prefer the 1st one, the 2nd uses onboard graphics which will take from your installed ram, and it isn't a core 2 CPU so I do prefer the 1st one.
One point to note though, is as it's store bought be aware at some point you may need to look at a new PSU, they don't usually supply the best due to keeping the costs down, so at some point no matter what you buy a new PSU may be required, but don't let this put you off, many get no problems for many years, I just say it so your aware of future possible expense.

Re: Which PC is better?

Thanks a lot for your help. I bought the 1st one. But can you elaborate on the PSU issue? I haven't heard of a PSU until just now. Thanks!

Well, the PSU is the Power Supply Unit. Basicly, when you plug your system into the mains, the power goes to the PSU and puts the power to each component requiring power, though some components take power from the motherboard.

So, the companies put in a Power Supply which is cheapest for them, and can just run on that system.
If you do any upgrades, which you probably will in the future, the power supply may not be able to give enough power to the system, meaning your system may go slower, and crash.
Also, as they only put in cheap ones, they may not last long, and if your Power Supply goes, it can take out a lot of other components with it.

Re: Which PC is better?

Your best bet would probably have been to customize a pc for the same price.. When customizing you can get a much better pc for a much cheaper price.
